Duplex Project Page

These are the plans for a Duplex for a customer in Canada. The project is currently under construction and we hope to have some photos soon.

This modern duplex design has a 2 bedroom, 2 bath layout and an open living, dining and kitchen area. There is an entry vestibule to help keep the cold out and a porch to provide protection from the elements. This design utilizes an ICF crawlspace stem wall and an ICF party wall. The rest of the structure is 2x6 framing with 2x2 interior strapping for additional insulation. There are two different roof shapes utilized, a low pitch shed roof on one side and a low pitch gable on the other side. Key points with this design are energy efficiency and minimal sound transmission through the party wall. (note: not all drawings are shown below. Some drawing details have been eliminated.)
