Irvin Residence Project Page

These are the plans for the Irvin Residence in Lawrence, KS. Construction was started during the summer of 2011. We will add additional construction pictures as they are available.

This modern ranch was designed to suit the customer's site, a north facing, wooded hill. With no opportunity to take advantage of solar gain, the focus of the house was turned to the northerly views of the surrounding hills and valley to the north. This design was developed from the owners initial needs and refined from there. It entails a large open living, dining, and kitchen area with large windows. A large deck shaded by existing trees will be on the west side. A large master suite and office make up the eastern end of the home and a full basement offers an additional bedrooms and a family room.

The roof is a low pitched gable supported by 5 large exposed glulam beams. A detached garage and screened breezeway provide additional space. (note: not all drawings are shown below. Some drawing details have been eliminated.)
